What is a Houseplant?
Houseplants are simply plants that do well when grown indoors. These plants are able to thrive despite a lack of sunlight, humidity and air circulation. We do not realize that our drastically altered indoor environment, although hospitable for us, is not ideal for plant growth.

What is referred to as either green or foliage plants are houseplants that do not flower, either because they naturally do not bloom, or because they receive insufficient light levels indoors to induce flowering.
