The one reason we have not mentioned, and yet perhaps the most important for many of you, is the sheer joy one receives from growing one’s own vegetables. It is extremely rewarding and fulfilling, as with all forms of gardening, regardless of what level it is practiced at. Some are content with a mere tomato plant on their patio, whilst others enjoy a full-blown spring, summer and autumn crop schedule! Whatever level best suits you, we are here to help you be successful in your endeavors. And don’t forget, vegetable gardening is a great way to teach children and get them outdoors; be sure to involve them in the whole process from start to finish.
At Pesche’s we believe in providing our customers with not only aesthetic plants, but also plants that are strong, healthy and resilient. Why? For this reason, Chris Pesche uses the same growing methods as did his father and grandfather before him; namely to grow plants cool and slow, thereby ensuring that plants are strong and robust. Too many growers try to cut corners and grow plants warm and fast, resulting in tall and spindly plants that are prone to breakage, cold damage and pest occurrence.
