Curry Leaf (Murraya koenigii)
A native of India and Sri Lanka, Curry Leaf is a small tree with very pungent aromatic leaves an important flavoring used in Indian/Asian cuisine. Winter hardy in USDA Zones 9-12. Grow in rich, moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. May be grown in containers that are overwintered indoors. Place containers in bright light in east, south or west windows. Allow soil to dry between waterings. It can grow to an average height of 18". The leaves are used in curry powder mixes and give a strong curry flavor.
