Heirloom. 78 days. This old-time favorite was bred by J.C. Walker of the University of Wisconsin in the 1940's and thrives in a wide range of growing conditions. It is a widely grown tomato that is considered ideal for home gardeners with nicely shaped pound fruit. Wisconsin 55 is my favorite early slicing tomato with great flavor and lots of sweetness in every bite.
